Smallville: Aqua

October 24, 2005 · 14 comments

There aren’t too many shows on TV these days that I find worth watching. However, Smallville is one of the few that I can’t get enough of. In fact, it’s probably the only show on TV that I follow regularly. For those unfamiliar with the show, it basically chronicles Clark Kent’s (a.k.a., Superman) adolescent years in Smallville. This past week’s episode was called “Aqua” and featured an appearance of Aquaman (yet another comic book superhero).

Smallville: Aqua

This is only the second time that the Smallville series has had a special guest appearance of another comic book superhero (the first time it was The Flash), but I do hope that more appearances such as this make their way into future episodes. In any case, the plot hinged around Clark and Aquaman putting a stop to Lex Luthor’s secret military project, code-named “Leviathon”, which had a fatal effect on marine life in its vicinity. In the end, Clark and Aquaman team up to put a stop to this project and depart as friends. However, the things that were particularly interesting in this episode were that the relationship between Clark and Lex is turning sour, and Clark is finally beginning to see Lex’s dark side. Lastly, the final scene of the episode alluded to Clark and Lois’s future relationship after Clark finally assumes the role of Superman.

I really love this show, and I’m eagerly awaiting the rest of the season. You’re strongly encouraged to check it out every Thursday at 8 PM on The WB.

leo: Sure, I can most certainly give you the episode number. The episode name is “Aqua” and the episode number is #92 (a.k.a., Season 05 Episode 04). I recommend using http://www.epguides.com to look up episode numbers and information.

I love Smallville! I like the ones where they put comic book characters too. But I never found out what happened to Pete. What did happen to him?

Linymae: Pete’s character left the show in Season 3 after the episode “Forsaken.” Basically, Pete ended up in a situation where he almost gave up Clark’s secret. In order to better protect Clark’s identity, he moved away to Wichita with his mother, and he hasn’t returned for any episodes since then.

Just so you know, i dont think spiderman will be in it. C’mon we’re talking about DC Comics here, not Marvel. Batman maybe later but I doubt it. Unless Stan Lee agrees to it. ^.^
