Bostock Library

02Nov05

With lots of work on one’s plate, it is essential to find a place where one can be producive. In the past, that’s been a difficult task as there haven’t been too many places on campus that truly fit the bill. The end result has been me spending a lot of time trying to study in my room (often rather ineffectively). Now, however, the University has finished their first phase of the library rennovation project and have opened the new Bostock Library. I must say with much approbation that it’s absolutely spectacular.

You can’t help but fall in love with the new facility when you walk inside. What’s not to like? It’s a brand new complex; it’s beautiful; it puts you in the mood to do work. Needless to say, I’ve found a new home for the rest of the semester. I can honestly say that I will happily become quite familiar with the new library. Yeah, I know! I’ll be happy about spending time in a library! If all that weren’t enough, on November 7th, 2005 the old coffee house known as “The Perk” will be re-opened in its new location. What can I say? It’s no less grandiose than the Bostock Library.

Those late nights at the library will now be complete with many solid cups of coffee (a.k.a., study fuel) , and with any luck, they’ll be serving Starbucks like most other places on campus. Upon looking at the clock, it’s time for me to get to class. Besides, the sooner I get to doing that, the sooner I can can hurry up and get to the library! :-)
