The Cheesecake Factory

12Nov05

For the longest time, I kept hearing from numerous individuals how good The Cheesecake Factory was. Initially, however, I thought they only sold cheesecake, and I didn’t really think much of it since I’m not a very big dessert person. What’s more, I’ve never had a predilection for cheesecake, but nonetheless, the first time I ever dined at The Cheesecake Factory I fell in love. What can I say? They almost had to throw me out of the restaurant for inappropriately fondling my food; it was just that good. Now it’s one of my favorite restaurants. If you’re not a big dessert person, don’t let the name fool you because they serve everything. In fact, the menu itself is practically a book, and if you’re not a decisive individual, you could easily spend hours just trying to figure out what to order.

The Cheesecake Factory

Recently (a.k.a., today), I found out that a Cheesecake Factory opened up at the Southpoint Mall in Durham. I think my feelings about this can be summed up with one enthusastic outburst, “Woooohooooo!!!!!!” Being that Durham is so close to Raleigh, I used to go to The Cheesecake Factory there; however, I’d have to make a nice thirty minute drive or more (depending on traffic) just to get to the restaurant. Now I’m only about 10-15 minutes from the nearest Cheesecake Factory, and on top of that, it’s right next to the really nice Southpoint Mall and Cinema. So now, I can gorge myself at Cheesecake Factory, purchase a larger pair of pants for my enlarged waistline, and then head on over to the theatres to see the latest Hillary Duff movie. Sweet!

Too bad my workload won’t permit me to do that today. Oh well, there’s always next weekend! :-)

Atomic Bombshell: Mmmmmmm, I’ve had that before. It rocks quite a bit. However, to be quite honest, I’ve never had anything there that hasn’t rocked!

apryl: I must say that I revert to extremely gluttonous habits whenever I visit. I just cannot control myself, and I’ll agree with you about the decor. I can’t quite pin down what type of theme it is, though. It seems to be an amalgamation of different styles.
