Thanksgiving Countdown

Thanksgiving Break begins tomorrow, and at 8:41PM, I’ll be flying out of RDU heading towards Orlando. It should be nice to go home; however, I can’t say that it’s going to necessarily be relaxing. I have way too much to do over the break, and I’ll be working like crazy to get it all done. I did have a rather pleasant weekend this past weekend, though, as I pretty much took it easy. It was a nice way to unwind after this past week which was absolutely hectic, and I dare say that I needed such a break or I was going to just go nuts (can we say silly string road rage?).

Even better was the sweet deal I found on Sunday while I was at the Southpoint Mall here in Durham. I was passing by Finish Line and I happened to see a really nice Duke Sweatshirt in the Window. Fortunately, they were running a big sale on an assortment of college sweatshirts, and the very sweatshirt I was admiring was on sale for $19.99 down from $50.00! I’ll take a whopping 60% savings any day of the week so I decided to snatch up two. One for myself and one for my little brother In retrospect, I should’ve snatched up one for each of my parents as well! Hmmm, maybe I’ll head on over there tomorrow before I leave town and see if I can pick up two more for my parents.

I also got a nice Christmas Blend coffee from Starbucks which I’m just itching to try. It sounds like it should be terrific, and with the rise of my recent coffee obsession, it’ll be a very welcome endulgence. In fact, I think I’ll take a few shots of that coffee tonight as I work on a project for my Computer Graphics class.

All in all, it was a very good weekend, and though my wallet is a little lighter, I’m glad I treated myself to a relaxing weekend. I think I needed it. Now I just can’t wait to get home and see my family. Afterall, the best part of the holidays is getting to spend them with one’s family, or at least, that’s how I feel.

Really good coffee. Just be aware that just as you become addicted to it, they stop selling it until next christmas.

Neil: You make a very good point. It seems as though I’m going to have to stock up… It’s pretty good stuff.
