That's what I've been doing for years, and the graphics are always better than the latest greatest consoles (how can they not be with newer, better video cards coming out every 8 days or so?). Albeit, the graphics cards do cost more than an entire Xbox 360 system. Howevever, if I were to get an Xbox 360, I'd probably want it more for its media features than anything else. Afterall, it's those very features that make "hacked" versions of the original Xbox so incredibly cool! I’m with you on the PC gaming. Add to that the costs of addons like the hard drive and Xbox live subscriptions... ...I think most impulse buyers are regretting ever getting the Xbox 360! It's still PC gaming for me though. I'm currently enjoying Call of Duty 2, Gun, and Half Life 2: The Lost Coast. Besides, there's nothing like building your own gaming rig. It’s still PC gaming for me though. I’m currently enjoying Call of Duty 2, Gun, and Half Life 2: The Lost Coast. Besides, there’s nothing like building your own gaming rig.

My friend got one for $700 and was glad to do it... but $5000?!? Insane. And you are not even guaranteed that it's going to work!
